Colene Clemens Adriane Pinot Noir 2012

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

A blend of all 5 clones that we grow the 2012 Adriane Pinot Noir exhibits all the hallmarks of this unique growing season, marrying the fruit intensity associated with a warmer vintage over a fully mature and elegant structure more often associated with a cooler growing season. Pungent aromas of ripe dark cherry, sandalwood and barrel toast, mingled with hints of forest floor and savory notes emanate from the nose. The wine delivers ample up front fruit in a linear attack that drives the wine straight to the middle and back of the palate. Delivering loads of dark cherry extract, tremendous density and mid palette depth supported by fine grain tannins that provide a fluidity of movement into a long clean finish. Like most 2012's this wine is proving to be incredibly accessible given it's still in its infancy and if you can keep your hands off it should continue to develop for the next 12 to 15 years.

Wine SpectatorDistinctly spicy and peppery, this is layered, complex and harmonious, with generous cherry and floral flavors on an open-weave frame. The tannins are well-submerged in the mix, and the finish echoes beautifully. Drink now through 2022. 1,096 cases made.

Wine EnthusiastIntense and spicy, this has a mix of cranberry, plum and cherry fruit, with perfectly ripened tannins and overall balance. There's a bit of heat in a dark chocolate finish, and in general this young wine should continue to improve with a little more time in the bottle.
